This painting was mostly made during the 2026 Oregon Country Fair after the hours when the public was there. Since the OCF has a whole separate festival at night for the workers who could not make it to the day time shows, I decided to participate in that open community of creative encouragement by taking on an ambitious challenge of painting a portrait in the midst of the evening shenanigans. This painting features glow in the dark, fluorescent, and glitter infused paint so it can have an extra twinkle in all lights.

This painting of Jerry Garcia with his tiger guitar was inspired by Haiyan Wang’s piece. The peach on the shirt pocket represents the Grateful Dead’s impact on Oregon Country Fair and the community that loves that event. Glow in the dark, fluorescent and glitter infused paint were used in the creation of this so it twinkles in the light if you look at it right.

The peach that replaces the jacket button in the photo represents the Grateful Dead’s impact on the Oregon Country Fair and the community that loves that event.

This painting of Plunder Biscuit features areas with fluorescent and glow in the dark paint. It also has areas with glitter mixed into the paint so it twinkles in the light. There are numerous references to the Grateful Dead and a TAOH symbol tucked into the piece. The TAOH symbol is like the circular peace symbol, but about peace for peace sake. This painting pairs perfectly with a lovely night of fiber clicking and terrapin shenanigans.
